Life at Valtech Fabrication

I would not be where I am today if it were not for the excellent training I received from my colleagues and supervisors. They pushed me to become a better version of myself both professionally and personally, first as an apprentice and then as an employee. I have never been as proud of myself or as proud to be a welder at Valtech.

I have been in the refractory department at Valtech for 14 years. Because of my flexible schedule, my job allows me to balance my personal life with my work.

I started my career at Valtech as a hexmesh welder. I am now a level 2 welder. My favorite part of the job is the interesting projects, which challenge me and push me to keep getting better.

When I came to Valtech in 2011 as a Roller Operator with over 32 years of experience after my previous employer closed, I saw many advantages: job stability, employee benefits, the opportunity to work in a team on complex and stimulating projects, and a focus on offering quality products in a safe and secure environment. All of this connects with my values and who I am as a person.

I completed my DEP in welding and assembly. I started at Valtech as an apprentice, and then worked my way up the ranks to become a top level assembler. I enjoy working as a team to execute complex projects that challenge my technical skills and push me to keep getting better at what I do.

After finishing welding school, I did my apprenticeship at Valtech and have been here ever since. It is a great company where we can continue to learn and get better. Now, I am a Quality Control Inspector and I enjoy being able to make decisions to ensure that our products meet the highest standard of quality. Valtech gave me confidence!

When I came to Valtech, they took the time to train me properly and I had the opportunity to develop my skills. There is a nice atmosphere and we have fun working together. We get the chance to improve our skills every day because each project is different.

I have been working at Valtech since 2020. I started as a welder and am now an assembler. I have always been made to feel welcome and supported in my development. I love my job because you learn something new every day and work on projects that are both varied and stimulating. The atmosphere is positive and respectful, and when challenges arise, we work together to find solutions and make our projects a success.

Valtech has helped me realize my dream of being with my family in Canada. They have supported me and helped me develop as a welder, but also on a personal level. I love working here because every day brings new challenges that help us grow and learn. I always give my best on every project, and I know that a bright future awaits me and my family.
