Compensation 

• Competitive starting salary ranging from $27.36/hr to $35.08/hr, depending on experience ;
• Salary progression based on your Valtech experience, leading to a maximum salary of $40.34/hour ;
• Annual salary increase based on your performance ;
• Evening shift premium of $1.50/hour.

Flexible work schedule

• Fixed day or evening shift ;
• Evening shift over 4 days (4 p.m. to 2 a.m.) ;
• Day shift: 2 schedule choices. Finishes at 11:30 a.m. on Fridays.

Your Challenge

• Welding of parts such as pressure vessels, cyclones, piping, etc ;
• Mainly GMAW welding. GTAW, electrode (SMAW) and submerged arc (SAW) available ;
• Welding in any position (6G) ;
• Welding in rotation, on positioner ;
• Gouging to prepare welding joints ;
• Reading and understanding blueprints ;
• Safe operation of an overhead crane ;
• Pass non-destructive quality control tests according to customer specifications ;
• Maintain your welding machine ;
• Working at heights and in confined spaces ;
• All other related tasks.

We work with mild steel and stainless steel as well as exotic alloys (e.g. chromoly).

Qualifications required 

• DEP in welding and fitting ;
• ASP in high-pressure welding (asset) ;
• Minimum 5 years' experience with similar parts.
